Occupy Wall Street is a movement of such magnitude in New York that nobody can—nor should—ignore it. But how can V get in on the action from a fashion perspective? On a basic level, we obviously identify with the issues that are being raised and wish for an end to government financial corruption as much anybody, but we also can’t help noticing, as we are prone to, the element of fashion existent in the mix. From DIY spray-painted t-shirts to full body, painted tattoos, the protestors are using their sartorial creativity to help put across their vital message. We sent videographer CyCy Sanders into the belly of the bull, to investigate the outlooks—and looks—at the downtown revolution.
